Company and history
In March 1890, Josep Coral Guasch founded Productos Cerámicos Jose Coral. It was initially located in a small shop at Aribau street 21 in Barcelona, dedicated to the commercialization and distribution of construction and decoration materials. In 1910, the business's growth necessitated a relocation to Ronda Sant Antoni street 43 (Photo), adopting the trade name Productos Cerámicos Casa Coral.. Later, in 1932, under the direction of his son, Jose Coral Casant, the company moved again to its current location at Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes avenue 549, simplifying its name to Casa Coral.
Later, in 1975, the third generation, led by his daughter Montserrat Coral Rovira,, rebranded the company as Cerámicas Coral. and incorporated a wider range of products, including sanitary ware, faucets, shower screens, bathroom furniture, and related items, adapting to new market demands.
In late 2014, Oscar Vidal Coral, took over as director, marking a new generational transition. He updated the trade name to Ceràmiques Coral Barcelona, reaffirming the company's roots and location.
Currently, Ceràmiques Coral Barcelona is one of the few family businesses remaining from the late 19th century. It continues to maintain its roots in the distribution and commercialization of high-quality ceramic products, as well as specialized products and pieces for finishes and decoration
